This piece has a bit of a complicated reason for being. One of my friends is really into spiderman, so I drew him a spiderman for his birthday. After making a scan, I gave him the original. I then decided to go further with it and do a release for the spiderman 3 DVD coming this month with Venom. So I ended up drawing Venom in an Air port to Chicago while it was delayed for four hours.

I ended up sitting next to a little boy who was really into spiderman, so we had an art jam session right there in the terminal. Drawing with kids is fun becuase they are really creative people. I had never drawn Venom before and being that I was in the terminal waiting for my flight, I didn't have reference. I was really surprised I got his head shape right. So here it is and I hope it gets you as pumped for the release of the movie on DVD as it did for me :)

i did that once

i was sketchin Optimus Prime in my sketchbook and this kid sitting next to me in the terminal was all starin [he was tryin to draw somethin too but he stopped to watch me]

kinda awkward but whatever xD

Spider-Man Spider-man does what ever a spider can :sing:

Which as far as I'm aware is getting stuck in the bath and then going down the plug hole but strangly I've yet to see that story in the comics or the movie :plotting: I wonder why?

And this is very very cool! I can't wait to show my godson and his brother. They're muts about Spidey :spidey:
