This piece has a bit of a complicated reason for being. One of my friends is really into spiderman, so I drew him a spiderman for his birthday. After making a scan, I gave him the original. I then decided to go further with it and do a release for the spiderman 3 DVD coming this month with Venom. So I ended up drawing Venom in an Air port to Chicago while it was delayed for four hours.
I ended up sitting next to a little boy who was really into spiderman, so we had an art jam session right there in the terminal. Drawing with kids is fun becuase they are really creative people. I had never drawn Venom before and being that I was in the terminal waiting for my flight, I didn't have reference. I was really surprised I got his head shape right. So here it is and I hope it gets you as pumped for the release of the movie on DVD as it did for me  |
